QuickBooks sync is not a yes/no checkbox. Ask Online versus Desktop, one-way versus two-way, which objects move, what happens to unpaid invoices, which plan unlocks the row, and whether you can bill without connecting QBO. Figures are from vendor help and pricing pages checked 2026-09-06. This page does not rank a winner.

## Who this is for

A wash shop whose books live in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, and who needs to know whether the CRM will push invoices, pull customers, or only export a CSV. This is not a tax or payroll guide and not a ranked bake-off.

Solo pricing floors stay on the [solo operator guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-solo-operators). $0 language stays on the [free software guide](/guides/free-pressure-washing-software). Seat-versus-plan math for two named generalists stays on [QuoteIQ vs Jobber](/compare/quoteiq-vs-jobber). This page only sorts the QuickBooks question.

## How we sourced this

Vendor help articles beat marketing pages when they disagree. Dated help is the source for direction, objects, and Desktop support. Pricing matrices and plan-help articles are the source for gates and dollars. A homepage or SEO page that says "two-way" is not treated as the same source as a help FAQ that says one-way.

> Verified fact: We did not import competitor QuickBooks tables from QuoteIQ, CrewNest, Opervo, or MakeWash as PressureWashStack facts. Workiz still publishes Request pricing only. We did not invent Desktop object maps for products that lack help articles.

> Editorial judgment: If a marketing page and a help article disagree, the help article wins for budgeting. The marketing page is labeled stale or conflicted.

Gaps we will not fill: CrewNest has no QuickBooks help center article we could retrieve; PowerWashOffice markets Desktop and Online with no help map; Opervo's features page and a 2026 blog disagree on whether QuickBooks is live.

## Six questions before you connect

**Online versus Desktop.** QuickBooks Online is a cloud company file. QuickBooks Desktop is a local company file, usually reached through Intuit's Web Connector or a CSV/export hop. A product that syncs QBO does not automatically sync Desktop.

**One-way versus two-way.** One-way means the CRM is the source of truth and writes into QuickBooks. Two-way means edits in QuickBooks also land back in the CRM. Help docs that say one-way are not the same claim as a pricing blurb that says two-way.

**Objects.** Ask which records actually move: contacts/customers, services/price book, estimates, invoices, payments, timesheets, expenses. Do not assume estimates ride along with invoices.

**Unpaid invoices.** A one-way CRM-to-QBO push can create an open invoice in QuickBooks while the CRM still waits for a card. A payment recorded only in QuickBooks will not mark the CRM invoice paid if paid status does not sync back. Confirm where you collect, and where you close the invoice.

**Plan gate.** QuickBooks is often not on the cheapest published plan. Budget the tier that lists the row, not the entry floor.

**Billing without QBO.** Estimates, invoices, and cards can work without connecting QuickBooks. Connecting QBO is an accounting hop, not a requirement to get paid.

## Snapshot, as published 2026-09-06

> Verified fact: Rows below are from vendor help or a dated pricing matrix unless the Notes column says marketing-only or conflicted. Direction and objects are not a field test.

| Product | Edition | Direction (prefer help) | Objects named in help or docs | Plan gate | Bill without QBO |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| QuoteIQ | QBO only; Desktop not supported | One-way QuoteIQ→QBO ([help](https://intercom.help/quoteiq/en/articles/15937606-quickbooks-sync-troubleshooting-why-it-failed-and-how-to-fix-it)). Marketing "two-way" is stale. | Contacts, services, estimates, invoices on Start Sync Now; payments named on the integration article | Pro / Elite / Max. Not Essentials or Beginner. No QuoteIQ add-on fee. | Yes. Invoices and payments sit on every plan. |
| Jobber | QBO only; no Desktop sync | New integration: one-way Jobber→QBO. One-time QBO→Jobber import of clients and products. | Clients, products & services, invoices, payments, timesheets | Connect and up | Yes. Core invoices without the Connect QBO row. |
| Housecall Pro | QBO and Desktop (Web Connector) both documented | Typically one-way HCP→QBO; one-way HCP→Desktop after connect | QBO: invoices, payments, new customers, new price-book items. Estimates do not push QBO. Desktop objects stay on the Desktop help article. | Essentials or MAX for QBO | Yes. Basic invoices without the QBO row. |
| Workiz | Online and Desktop claimed; both have help | Marketing and Desktop help: ongoing one-way Workiz→QB | Desktop help names clients, items, invoices, payments. No invented extra Desktop map. | Standard and up | Yes. Invoices listed without requiring QBO. Request pricing. |
| Opervo | QBO claimed | Conflicted. Features: one-way Opervo→QBO invoices. A 2026 blog says QB is still in progress. | Invoices (features page only) | Solo $24.99 claims every feature | Yes, if you invoice in Opervo. Do not confirm live QBO. |
| CrewNest | QBO marketing; CSV for Desktop | Marketing-only two-way customers and one-way invoices/expenses. No help docs. | Marketing names only. Do not elevate. | Not documented in help | Yes. Basic invoicing is on the pricing page. |
| MakeWash | None claimed | No QuickBooks claim on the fetched software page | None | n/a | Yes. Quoting and payments are claimed without QBO. |
| PowerWashOffice | Desktop + Online on marketing pages | Undocumented. No help map retrieved. | Marketing: invoices, payments, customers. Not a help object map. | Not documented | Yes. Job management invoices without a documented QBO gate. |
| The Customer Factor | QBO import documented; Desktop via export to QBO then import | Import QBO→TCF documented. Ongoing TCF→QB is help-thin. | Import names customers, invoices, payments, estimates, job types | Not a published add-on gate on join-now | Yes. CRM invoicing and cards without requiring QBO. |

> Editorial judgment: Housecall Pro is the strongest **documented** Desktop-plus-QBO pair in this set because both editions have help articles. That is a documentation fact, not an award and not a claim that Desktop object lists match QBO.

## QuoteIQ

QuoteIQ help is QBO only. Desktop is not supported. Solopreneur and Self-Employed are called out as separate Intuit products, not QBO.

> Verified fact: The [troubleshooting article](https://intercom.help/quoteiq/en/articles/15937606-quickbooks-sync-troubleshooting-why-it-failed-and-how-to-fix-it) (retrieved 2026-09-06) states the sync is one-way QuoteIQ→QuickBooks Online. Changes in QuickBooks do not come back. The QuickBooks Sync screen moves four objects (Contacts, Services, Estimates, Invoices), each with its own status and log, and you run it with **Start Sync Now**. The [integration article](https://intercom.help/quoteiq/en/articles/14442991-quickbooks-integration-sync-invoices-amp-payments-automatically) also names payments when a customer pays in QuoteIQ.

> Verified fact: Same help, plus the [pricing matrix](https://myquoteiq.com/pricing/): QuickBooks is on Pro ($149.99/mo), Elite ($299/mo), and Max ($699/mo). It is not on Essentials ($29.99) or Beginner ($74.99). QuoteIQ charges no extra QuickBooks add-on fee. You still need a separate QuickBooks Online subscription from Intuit.

> Verified fact: FLAG STALE MARKETING. The [Pro plan page](https://myquoteiq.com/pricing/pro/) prints "Two-way sync." Help answers "Is the sync two-way?" with no. The [QuickBooks marketing page](https://myquoteiq.com/quickbooks-integration/) still lists Elite at $249.99/mo and Max at $399.99/mo. The live pricing page and 2026 help use Elite $299 and Max $699. Treat the older Elite/Max dollars as stale.

> Verified fact: Every plan can create and send invoices and accept online payments on the public matrix. Export Data (CSV of contacts, invoices, estimates, and expenses) is listed on every plan, including those without automatic QBO sync.

> Editorial judgment: If you need automatic QBO this month, do not budget Essentials or Beginner. If you only need to invoice and take cards, you can bill without connecting QBO. Prefer Start Sync Now help over the two-way Pro-page blurb.

Unpaid invoices: QuoteIQ help rejects $0 or negative sales totals and duplicate invoice numbers. Because the sync is one-way, a payment entered only in QuickBooks will not mark the QuoteIQ invoice paid. Collect and close in QuoteIQ if you want both sides to match.

## Jobber

Jobber help is QBO only. There is no Desktop sync. Clients from Desktop can be imported as a CSV. That is a one-time file, not an ongoing sync.

> Verified fact: Jobber's [new-integration FAQ](https://help.getjobber.com/en/articles/quickbooks-integration-faqs-new-quickbooks-integration/) (retrieved 2026-09-06) describes a **new** one-way Jobber→QuickBooks Online sync. Jobber is the source of truth for clients and products. A one-time import can bring clients and products from QBO into Jobber when you first connect. "Paid" status on invoices no longer syncs back to Jobber. The sync is ongoing and automatic (no Sync now button on the new integration).

> Verified fact: Objects that sync Jobber→QBO: clients, products & services, invoices, payments (including Jobber Payments payouts, tips, and refunds), and timesheets.

> Verified fact: Jobber's public pricing matrix lists QuickBooks Online under Connect ("All Core features, plus"). Core is the 1-user floor and is not the published QBO row.

> Editorial judgment: If Desktop is your books, Jobber does not publish a live sync. If you need QBO this month, do not budget Core. Seat-versus-plan dollars stay on [QuoteIQ vs Jobber](/compare/quoteiq-vs-jobber).

Unpaid invoices: because paid status no longer returns from QBO, an invoice you mark paid only in QuickBooks can stay open in Jobber. Collect in Jobber if you want the CRM invoice to close.

## Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro is the only seed-and-mention product here with **help articles for both QBO and Desktop**.

> Verified fact: [QBO syncing](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/6293215-quickbooks-online-syncing-information-from-housecall-pro) says the integration typically functions one-way, Housecall Pro to QuickBooks Online. It pushes invoices, payments (including service-plan payments), new customer information, and new price-book items. **Estimates do not push to QuickBooks Online.** You can manually push an invoice that has not been marked finished or paid.

> Verified fact: [QBO onboarding](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/3006688-quickbooks-online-integration-onboarding-guide) states you must be on Housecall Pro Essentials or MAX to connect QBO. After connect you may import customers, tax rates, invoices, products, services, income accounts, and classes from QBO into Housecall Pro. That import is not the same as ongoing two-way invoice sync.

> Verified fact: [Desktop syncing](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/4333056-quickbooks-desktop-syncing-information-from-housecall-pro) states that after connect the integration is one-way Housecall Pro to QuickBooks Desktop, via the QuickBooks Web Connector. We are not inventing a second Desktop object map beyond that help article.

> Verified fact: [HCP pricing](https://www.housecallpro.com/pricing/) still lists invoices and payments on Basic. The QuickBooks Online row sits on Essentials.

> Editorial judgment: If you must stay on Desktop **and** want a documented QBO path in the same product, Housecall Pro is the pair with help on both editions. That does not make it the best wash CRM.

Unpaid invoices: help lets you push an invoice before the job is finished or paid. Printing an invoice does not push it. Deleted or canceled invoices in Housecall Pro must be deleted in QBO by hand.

## Workiz

Workiz publishes help for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, and a marketing integration page. Pricing stays Request pricing. Do not invent a monthly floor.

> Verified fact: [Pricing plans](https://www.workiz.com/pricing-plans/) list QuickBooks integration on Standard (and the higher cards). Standard / Pro / Ultimate show Request pricing. No official monthly dollar on the fetched page.

> Verified fact: The [QuickBooks integration page](https://www.workiz.com/integrations/quickbooks/) claims Online and Desktop, then says that after import, data continues one-way, Workiz to QuickBooks.

> Verified fact: [Desktop help](https://help.workiz.com/hc/en-us/articles/33040652195729-Connecting-your-QuickBooks-Desktop-account-to-Workiz) states ongoing sync is one-way Workiz→QuickBooks Desktop. Invoices and payments do not sync Desktop→Workiz. The article names clients, items, invoices, and payments. We are not adding objects that page does not name.

> Editorial judgment: Treat Workiz as "Online and Desktop claimed, with help, one-way Workiz→QB, Standard and up, ask for a written quote." Do not paste a third-party Kickstart or Standard dollar into your budget.

## Opervo (conflicted; do not confirm live)

> Verified fact: [Features](https://www.opervo.io/features) claims QuickBooks Online invoice sync one way, Opervo to QuickBooks. [Home](https://www.opervo.io/) also prints "two-way sync with QuickBooks Online." The [cheapest FSM blog](https://www.opervo.io/blog/cheapest-field-service-management-software) still says "QuickBooks integration is still in progress."

> Verified fact: Opervo Solo publishes $24.99/month.

> Unverified: Whether a live Opervo→QBO invoice sync exists on a current Solo account. Features and the blog conflict. We will not confirm it live.

> Editorial judgment: Do not budget Opervo as a finished QuickBooks connector until the vendor's help or in-app screen matches one of those pages. Invoice in Opervo if you need to get paid; treat QBO as a confirm-on-trial item.

## CrewNest (marketing only; do not elevate)

CrewNest has no QuickBooks help article we could retrieve. The claim lives on a marketing roundup.

> Verified fact: [Best pressure washing software (2026)](https://www.crewnest.app/best/pressure-washing-software) markets two-way customer sync with QuickBooks Online, one-way push of invoices and expenses, and CSV exports for Desktop. The same page claims Jobber has a "two-way" QBO sync. Jobber help for the new integration says one-way Jobber→QBO. Ignore CrewNest's Jobber two-way line.

> Unverified: Object-level CrewNest↔QBO behavior. There is no help doc to elevate.

> Editorial judgment: Leave CrewNest in the "marketing-only" bucket. Do not treat that roundup as a help map. Invoicing on Free/Pro is a pricing-page fact; QuickBooks is not.

## MakeWash

> Verified fact: [makewash.com/software](https://makewash.com/software) does not claim a QuickBooks integration on the fetched page. It claims per-sqft estimating and structured chemistry, free today, with a stated future $49/month price.

No QuickBooks row to gate. Billing without QBO is the default, because no QBO hop is documented.

## PowerWashOffice (undocumented)

> Verified fact: [Features](https://powerwash.software/features/) and the [homepage](https://powerwash.software/) market QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, with invoices, payments, and customers transferring automatically. We retrieved no help article that maps direction, objects, unpaid invoices, or a plan gate.

> Unverified: Live Desktop or QBO sync. Marketing only.

> Editorial judgment: Do not elevate PowerWashOffice to the documented Desktop+QBO set. Confirm inside the product before you retire a bookkeeper's CSV workflow.

## The Customer Factor

There is no PressureWashStack vendor profile for this product yet.

> Verified fact: [Importing from QuickBooks Online](https://help.thecustomerfactor.com/article/289-importing-from-quickbooks-online-new-ui) documents a QBO→TCF import of customers, invoices, payments, estimates, and job types. The same article mentions an "Export from" date "if you plan to export from CF to QBO," but the QuickBooks help category we fetched is import-heavy. Ongoing Customer Factor→QuickBooks is help-thin.

> Verified fact: [Importing from QuickBooks Desktop](https://help.thecustomerfactor.com/article/14-how-to-transfer-from-quickbooks-desktop-to-quickbooks-online-then-transfer-to-customer-factor) is not a Desktop Web Connector sync. You export the Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online, then import into The Customer Factor.

> Verified fact: [Join now](https://thecustomerfactor.com/join-now) publishes $44.95/month or $449.50/year and card payments. You can invoice without connecting QuickBooks.

> Editorial judgment: Model TCF as "import from QBO (and Desktop only after a QBO hop)," not as a documented two-way field-service sync. Billing without QBO is yes.

## 15-minute choose checklist

Use this on a timer. It is a filter, not a ranking.

1. Write your books: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or "I invoice in the CRM and my CPA keys QBO later."
2. If Desktop is non-negotiable, read Housecall Pro Desktop help and Workiz Desktop help. Do not assume QuoteIQ or Jobber will grow a Desktop sync. Do not use CrewNest or PowerWashOffice marketing as a Desktop map.
3. If you need QBO this month, write the published gate: QuoteIQ Pro+; Jobber Connect+; Housecall Pro Essentials/MAX; Workiz Standard+ (pricing on request).
4. Write direction from help, not from a two-way headline. QuoteIQ help is one-way QuoteIQ→QBO. Jobber's new integration is one-way Jobber→QBO plus a one-time import. Housecall Pro QBO is typically HCP→QBO. Workiz markets one-way Workiz→QB after import.
5. Write the objects you must move. If estimates have to land in QBO, QuoteIQ help names them; Housecall Pro help says estimates do not push QBO.
6. Write where unpaid invoices will be closed. If paid status does not sync back (Jobber new integration; QuoteIQ one-way), collect in the CRM.
7. If you can bill without QBO this month, you already can on QuoteIQ Essentials, Jobber Core, Housecall Pro Basic, CrewNest, MakeWash, TCF, and Opervo invoicing. Connecting QuickBooks is a later hop.
8. If Opervo is on your list, treat QBO as conflicted until a trial shows the features-page sync, not the blog's "still in progress."
9. If Workiz is on your list, request a written quote. Do not invent a monthly dollar.
10. Seat math for QuoteIQ versus Jobber stays on [QuoteIQ vs Jobber](/compare/quoteiq-vs-jobber). QuoteIQ versus Housecall Pro stays on [QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro](/compare/quoteiq-vs-housecall-pro). Housecall Pro versus Jobber stays on [Housecall Pro vs Jobber](/compare/housecall-pro-vs-jobber). Solo floors stay on the [solo operator guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-solo-operators). $0 language stays on the [free software guide](/guides/free-pressure-washing-software).

## What we did not do

We have not run these products against a live QuickBooks company file. We are not recommending a single product. We are not publishing star ratings.

We did not redo the [solo operator guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-solo-operators), the [free software guide](/guides/free-pressure-washing-software), or [QuoteIQ vs Jobber](/compare/quoteiq-vs-jobber). Those pages stay the workflow, $0 taxonomy, and two-product comparison. This page is the QuickBooks taxonomy only.

We did not invent Desktop object maps for CrewNest or PowerWashOffice. We did not treat QuoteIQ's two-way Pro-page blurb as help. We did not confirm Opervo QBO as live. We did not publish a Workiz monthly total. We did not add pool-route vendors. We did not create new vendor collection files for PowerWashOffice or The Customer Factor.

PressureWashStack does not earn commissions or affiliate revenue. Links in this guide are ordinary vendor URLs, not tracking links. See the [affiliate disclosure](/affiliate-disclosure). Other directory listings stay on the [directory](/directory).
