# Workiz vs Housecall Pro

Workiz publishes Standard/Pro/Ultimate with Request pricing (no public monthly floor), Genius add-ons sold separately, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, ACH at 1%, and instant card payouts at 1.75% (+$0.50 min). Housecall Pro publishes Basic $59/$79 · Essentials $149/$189 · MAX $299/$329 (MAX extra user $35/mo), Routes and QBO on Essentials+, route optimization on MAX, and a full payments rate card. Live figures as of 2026-09-16. No winner. Depends on Request-pricing scale / Desktop QBO / Genius surface versus published sticker floors / plan-gated Routes+QBO / published processing fees.

Workiz is a horizontal field-service platform with Request pricing and a pressure-washing industry page. Housecall Pro is a horizontal FSM with a pressure-washing industry page and Basic at $59/$79. Those units are not interchangeable, so this page does not name a winner. Figures are from vendor pages checked 2026-09-16. We have not tested either app.

## Two products

This is two horizontal field-service platforms, each with a pressure-washing industry page. A PW URL is not a wash-native spec sheet. One hides the monthly floor behind Request pricing. The other prints Basic / Essentials / MAX stickers. You cannot subtract a quote from a published seat card and get a breakeven.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s [pressure washing industry page](https://www.workiz.com/industries/pressure-washing/) (retrieved 2026-09-16) markets scheduling, payments, communications, Good|Better|Best proposals, and location / traffic / expertise assignment. Soft-wash chemistry and satellite square-footage takeoffs are **NOT CLAIMED**. A sodium hypochlorite dilution calculator is **NOT CLAIMED**.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro’s [pressure washing software page](https://www.housecallpro.com/industries/pressure-washing-software/) (retrieved 2026-09-16) markets scheduling, estimates, invoicing, a CRM and customer portal, a price book, online booking, cards/ACH/wallets, and a mobile app. Soft-wash chemistry and satellite square-footage takeoffs are **NOT CLAIMED**. A sodium hypochlorite dilution calculator is **NOT CLAIMED**. Inventory language on that page is generic “track parts,” not SH or surfactant mix tools. Soft-wash as an estimate or price-book category is not a Measurement Tool. Treat the PW page as **thin**.

See the [Workiz](/vendors/workiz) and [Housecall Pro](/vendors/housecall-pro) profiles for documented functions, still without a field test. This page is a two-product comparison only.

## How you pay

Workiz sells named plans with **Request pricing** and no public monthly dollar. Housecall Pro sells named plans with a fixed included-user count and a published MAX extra-user add-on. Those are different units.

On 2026-09-16, Workiz `/pricing-plans` still showed Standard / Pro / Ultimate with **Request pricing**, while Housecall Pro `/pricing` still showed Basic **$59/$79**, Essentials **$149/$189** (5 users), and MAX **$299/$329** (8 users) with MAX extra **$35/mo**.

> Verified fact: Workiz pricing, workiz.com/pricing-plans, 2026-09-16. Every paid card is pricing on request.

| Plan | Public monthly floor | What the fetched matrix lists |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Standard | Request pricing | Scheduling, invoices, jobs, estimates, QuickBooks listed |
| Pro | Request pricing | Genius Scheduling (AI) on the Pro matrix |
| Ultimate | Request pricing | Sales proposals and service plans on the Ultimate card |

Seat dollars are a **GAP**. Included-user counts and extra-seat dollars are **not published**. Genius Phone, Genius Answering, and Genius Marketing are sold separately with no published dollar. The annual discount is described only as “save $400+.” Confirm add-ons and users in a written quote.

> Unverified: Workiz Genius Phone, Genius Answering, and Genius Marketing dollar floors. The pricing page labels them sold separately and prints no add-on $.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro pricing, housecallpro.com/pricing, 2026-09-16. The page still titles From $59/mo.

| Plan | Users included | Extra users | Annual (per mo) | Monthly |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Basic | 1 | n/a | $59 | $79 |
| Essentials | 5 | GAP (not printed on this fetch) | $149 | $189 |
| MAX | 8 | $35/mo each | $299 | $329 |

The 1-user floor is Basic at $59/month billed annually or $79/month monthly. MAX extra users print *$35/mo per additional user on the live card. Essentials on-card overage beyond 5 users was not printed tonight. That overage is a **GAP**. Do not reuse stale $100 Essentials or $75 MAX extra-user figures from older fetches. Pricing-page promo badges are marketing, not sticky floors. Prefer **$59/$79 · $149/$189 · $299/$329**.

> Editorial judgment: A washer comparing Workiz Request pricing to Housecall Pro Basic $59/$79 (1 user) is comparing a quote to a sticker, not two complete ops stacks. Wash-day Housecall Pro tools for Routes, GPS, and the listed QBO row often mean Essentials at $149/$189 for 5 seats. Route optimization means MAX at $299/$329. Do not invent a Workiz monthly floor. Do not invent a breakeven. Get a written Workiz quote that includes users and Genius add-ons, then compare it to the Housecall Pro plan that lists the feature you need. Do not invent an Essentials extra-user dollar.

### Worked examples (published units only)

These rows use only published subscription units. They are arithmetic framing, not a field test and not a winner.

**A. Workiz Request pricing versus Housecall Pro Basic $59/$79.** Workiz Standard / Pro / Ultimate cards print Request pricing and no public monthly dollar. Housecall Pro Basic is $59/month billed annually or $79/month monthly for 1 user. A card with pricing on request is not the same stack as a one-user Basic sticker. Do not invent a Workiz monthly floor.

**B. Workiz Request pricing versus Housecall Pro Essentials $149/$189 / 5 users.** Housecall Pro Essentials is $149/$189 for 5 included users. Workiz included seats and extra-user dollars stay a **GAP**. Do not invent a Workiz seat total. Do not invent a six-user Essentials total. Do not invent an Essentials versus Pro breakeven.

**C. Housecall Pro MAX $299/$329 plus $35 versus Workiz seat GAP.** MAX is $299/$329 for 8 included users, then $35/month per additional user. Workiz seat math stays unpublished. Do not invent a nine-user Workiz total. Do not invent a MAX-plus-one versus Ultimate breakeven.

### Processing fees

> Verified fact: Workiz [Bank transfer (ACH) FAQ](https://help.workiz.com/hc/en-us/articles/18053157573521-Bank-transfer-ACH-FAQ) (retrieved 2026-09-16) states ACH 1%. Typical posting is 6 to 8 business days.

> Verified fact: Workiz [instant payouts help](https://help.workiz.com/hc/en-us/articles/18053114324753-Enabling-instant-payouts-for-card-payments) (retrieved 2026-09-16) states instant card payouts at **1.75%** plus a **$0.50** minimum, in addition to card processing. That help article also prints $10k per transaction and $15k per day limits. Fee floors are **Verified**. Do not invent eligibility thresholds beyond what that help article clearly states.

> Unverified: Workiz card processing percent. Public Workiz Pay help and pricing pages fetched 2026-09-16 do not print a card rate. The dashboard after signup is the place to confirm it. Card % is a **GAP**.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro pricing and FAQ list card processing **as low as 2.59%** and bank payments at **1%**. Invoices and payments sit on Basic.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro’s [payment processing help](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/2046930-housecall-pro-payment-processing-options) (retrieved 2026-09-16) publishes a rate card: reader / Tap to Pay **2.59%**; online invoice cards **2.99%**; manual, card-on-file, Amex, and commercial cards **3.49%**; ACH **1%**; Instapay **+1%**; PayPal / Venmo **2.99%**; Klarna / Pay Later **4.99%**; consumer financing starting **3.9%**; mobile check deposit free; Tap to Pay **+$5 per active device per month**. That help article is the HCP fee card.

## Wash-day tools

Satellite takeoff, chemistry, routing, and proposals sit on different published units. Do not treat a row on one card as a row on the other.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s PW page does **NOT CLAIM** satellite square-footage takeoffs or a soft-wash chemistry tool. Housecall Pro’s PW page does **NOT CLAIM** satellite square-footage takeoffs or an SH dilution calculator. Soft-wash as an estimate category is not a Measurement Tool.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s [scheduling page](https://www.workiz.com/features/scheduling/) (retrieved 2026-09-16) claims drag-and-drop scheduling, technician routes, and Genius Scheduling (AI). The pricing matrix puts Genius Scheduling on Pro. The exact “route optimization” plan gate is less documented than Housecall Pro’s. That gate is a partial **GAP**.

> Verified fact: The same Workiz PW page claims Good|Better|Best proposals and assignment by location, traffic, and expertise. The public matrix lists sales proposals on Ultimate. Confirm which proposal tool lands in a written quote.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro pricing lists Routes (group and sequence jobs) on Essentials. Route optimization (reorder by drive time and live traffic) sits on MAX. Employee GPS tracking sits on Essentials and MAX. The PW page markets map dispatch and routes without restating those gates. Prefer the pricing card.

> Verified fact: Workiz lists service plans under Ultimate on the public matrix. Housecall Pro lists Recurring Service Plans on MAX. The Housecall Pro PW page markets one-time and recurring washes without restating that MAX gate.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro pricing calls out a sales proposal tool on MAX. Workiz lists sales proposals on Ultimate.

> Editorial judgment: If you need a named satellite takeoff SKU or a mix-ratio / SH dilution calculator this month, neither product claims one on the fetched PW pages. Point to [QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro](/compare/quoteiq-vs-housecall-pro), [Opervo vs Housecall Pro](/compare/opervo-vs-housecall-pro), [Workiz vs Opervo](/compare/workiz-vs-opervo), and the [soft wash guide](/guides/soft-wash-software) for other chem-shelf notes, not a winner here. If you need named route optimization this month, Housecall Pro publishes it on MAX (Routes only on Essentials). Workiz publishes technician routes and Pro Genius Scheduling, with a less crisp optimization gate. Those are vendor claims and plan rows, not a field test.

## QuickBooks

Direction, objects, unpaid invoices, and Desktop stay on the [QuickBooks guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-with-quickbooks). This page locks the published gates.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s [QuickBooks integration page](https://www.workiz.com/integrations/quickbooks/) (retrieved 2026-09-16) claims QuickBooks **Online and Desktop**. After import, data continues one-way, Workiz to QuickBooks. The pricing matrix lists QuickBooks on Standard. Synced objects on that page include invoices, payments, expenses, taxes, and clients, automatic or manual.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro [QBO onboarding help](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/3006688-quickbooks-online-integration-onboarding-guide) (retrieved 2026-09-16) states you must be on Essentials or MAX to connect QuickBooks Online. The Essentials pricing card lists QBO sync. That listed sync is not an excuse to budget Basic for QuickBooks.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro publishes [QuickBooks Desktop onboarding](https://help.housecallpro.com/en/articles/4327479-quickbooks-desktop-integration-onboarding-guide) (retrieved 2026-09-16) for a Web Connector path. The public pricing grid does not state a Desktop plan gate as clearly as the QBO Essentials row. That gap is unlabeled on the pricing cards. Confirm Desktop eligibility in help or a trial. Do not lock unqualified “two-way” without the vendor’s own syncing help language.

> Editorial judgment: If Desktop is your books and you want that claim on Standard, Workiz is the product that publishes Online and Desktop on the entry paid matrix. Housecall Pro documents a Desktop Web Connector path, with QBO gated to Essentials or MAX. Workiz dollars stay Request pricing. That Desktop contrast is a books-path fact, not a winner.

## Seats, booking, SMS, trial

> Verified fact: Workiz included seats stay a **GAP**. Housecall Pro Basic includes 1 user. Essentials includes 5 users. MAX includes 8 users, then $35/mo per additional user. Essentials overage beyond 5 is a **GAP**.

> Verified fact: Workiz pricing lists Online Booking with optional checkout and a client portal. Housecall Pro pricing lists online booking on Basic. The Housecall Pro PW page repeats a secure online portal to view services, approve estimates, pay, and book.

> Verified fact: Workiz markets On my way / communications and lists automations (5 / 10 / 30 by plan). Genius Phone is sold separately. Housecall Pro’s PW page claims automated booking reminders and “On My Way” texts, plus live phone/chat support on every plan. Per-message SMS dollars beyond marketing copy are a partial **GAP** on both.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s pricing FAQ states a 7-day trial with no credit card.

> Verified fact: Housecall Pro’s pricing FAQ states a 14-day trial on the MAX feature set, no credit card. Data is kept if the trial expires.

Those offers are not interchangeable refund guarantees. A 7-day preview is not a 14-day MAX preview.

> Verified fact: Workiz’s PW FAQ claims App Store and Google Play apps. Offline write depth is a **GAP**. Housecall Pro pricing lists a free mobile app on every plan and **Offline viewing**. Offline editing depth is a **GAP**.

> Editorial judgment: Trial length differs (7-day versus 14-day MAX). Both fetched FAQs say no credit card. That is a checkout fact, not a quality score. Seat math is not a breakeven: an unpublished Workiz seat card is not 1 Housecall Pro Basic user, and it is not 5 Housecall Pro Essentials users plus an unpublished overage.

## Who each fits

These are fit notes against published units and documented claims. They are not awards. Who each fits depends on Request-pricing scale / Desktop QBO / Genius surface versus published sticker floors / plan-gated Routes+QBO / published processing fees.

> Editorial judgment: **Workiz** is for a shop that will request a written quote for Standard / Pro / Ultimate, wants the published PW industry page, wants QuickBooks Online and Desktop listed on Standard, and wants Workiz Pay with published ACH 1% and instant card payouts at 1.75% (+$0.50 min). Genius Phone, Answering, and Marketing are sold separately. Soft-wash chemistry and satellite measure are **NOT CLAIMED**. Monthly dollars stay **Request pricing**. Seat dollars stay a **GAP**. Card % stays a **GAP**.

> Editorial judgment: **Housecall Pro** is for a shop that sells wash work as one line among other home-service trades, can enter on Basic at $59/$79, and can pay Essentials for Routes, GPS, and the listed QBO row, or MAX for route optimization and recurring service plans. MAX extra users print $35/mo. Essentials overage is a **GAP**. Soft-wash chemistry and satellite measure are **NOT CLAIMED** on the PW page. Card, ACH, Instapay, and Tap to Pay percents are printed on the help rate card.

This page does not rank a winner. Quote Workiz in writing and quote Housecall Pro at the plan that lists the feature you need, then compare the written totals. Workiz versus Jobber stays on [Workiz vs Jobber](/compare/workiz-vs-jobber). Workiz versus Opervo stays on [Workiz vs Opervo](/compare/workiz-vs-opervo). CrewNest versus Housecall Pro stays on [CrewNest vs Housecall Pro](/compare/crewnest-vs-housecall-pro). CrewNest versus Workiz stays on [CrewNest vs Workiz](/compare/crewnest-vs-workiz). The wider solo set, including $0 tools and tools with pricing on request, stays on the [solo operator guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-solo-operators).

## What we did not do

We have not run these products on a live wash route. We are not recommending a single product. We are not publishing star ratings.

We did not redo the [solo operator guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-solo-operators), the [free software guide](/guides/free-pressure-washing-software), the [soft wash guide](/guides/soft-wash-software), the [small-team soft-wash CRM guide](/guides/best-soft-wash-crm-for-small-team), [Workiz vs Jobber](/compare/workiz-vs-jobber), [Workiz vs Opervo](/compare/workiz-vs-opervo), [QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro](/compare/quoteiq-vs-housecall-pro), [Housecall Pro vs Jobber](/compare/housecall-pro-vs-jobber), [Opervo vs Housecall Pro](/compare/opervo-vs-housecall-pro), [CrewNest vs Workiz](/compare/crewnest-vs-workiz), or the [QuickBooks guide](/guides/best-pressure-washing-software-with-quickbooks). Those pages stay the workflow, $0 taxonomy, soft-wash taxonomy, other two-product bake-offs, and QuickBooks taxonomy. This page is the Workiz versus Housecall Pro bake-off only.

We did not invent a Workiz monthly price. We did not publish third-party Kickstart or Standard dollar figures. We did not invent a breakeven from a pricing-on-request floor and a Basic / Essentials / MAX card. We did not treat either PW industry page as a satellite or SH-chem spec. We did not invent a Workiz card percent. We did not invent Workiz seat dollars or Genius add-on dollars. We did not invent a Housecall Pro satellite takeoff or SH dilution calculator. We did not reuse stale $100 / $75 extra-user figures as tonight’s card. We did not invent an Essentials extra-user dollar. We did not treat pricing-page promo badges as sticky floors. We did not wire affiliate CTAs or tracking URLs.
